About Prof. Olavo Abreu

Olavo Abreu began start his Jiu Jitsu career in 1994 training at Carlson Gracie School in Rio de Janeiro,under supervision of Marcelo Alonso and Carlson Gracie Jr. He received his blue, purple and brown belt from Master Carlson Gracie. In the year 2000 Olavo moved to Brazilian top team club there he became a black belt and head coach for the Brazilian jiu jitsu team during the years 2001 to 2005. As a Head coach at Brazilan Top Team he had opportunity to train army and police, from many countries and champions as, Rodrigo Minotauro, Paulo Filho, Ricardo Arona and many others.2005 Olavo move to Abu Dhabi and work there for 7 years. After a short working break in Moscow (Russia) Prof. Olavo has moved to Phuket, Thailand.

Along the way Olavo achieved many great results in competition:

 2nd Brazilian champion 2001
 International champion 2000
 2nd world champion 2004
 2nd world champion 2005

Olavo now teaches at Phuket Top Team MMA Training Camp in Thailand, helping some of the best and aspiring mma fighters and bjj practitioners to achieve there goals.
